Text Messaging / One-Time Passcode (OTP) Verification Program

When You attempt to log in to or access the KBM payment portal, We may ask You to provide a mobile phone number so that We can send You a One-Time Passcode (OTP) via SMS text message to verify Your identity before granting access to account or payment information.

• Consent. By providing Your mobile phone number and requesting an OTP, You consent to receive one or more SMS text messages from Us or Our SMS Service Provider for the sole purpose of identity verification. This consent is specific to the OTP verification program and is not used to enroll You in marketing text messages.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies and is limited to what is necessary to complete the verification You requested (typically one message per login or verification attempt).
• Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on Your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-out. You may decline to receive an OTP by SMS at any time; declining will mean We are unable to verify Your identity through this method, and You may be offered an alternative verification method or asked to contact Us directly. If You wish to stop receiving OTP messages generally, reply STOP to any message, or contact Us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.
• Help. Reply HELP to any OTP message, or contact Us at info@kbmcollect.com or (877) 698-5200, for assistance.
• No marketing use. We do not share Your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in status with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is used solely to facilitate the OTP verification program described in this section.
• Service Provider. OTP messages are delivered on Our behalf by a third-party SMS/telephony Service Provider (currently Twilio Inc.). That provider processes Your phone number and message content only as necessary to transmit the OTP and does not use that information for its own independent purposes.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

One-Time Passcodes are short-lived and automatically expire a few minutes after issuance. We retain a log of OTP verification attempts (e.g., phone number used, timestamp, and success/failure status) only for as long as reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.

The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

OTP codes are transmitted over encrypted, carrier-grade SMS delivery channels, and phone numbers collected for OTP verification are stored using industry-standard encryption at rest.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.
